Community Housing Innovations to Host Homeownership Expo in White Plains June 27

Community Housing Innovations (CHI) will host its 2026 Homeownership Expo on Saturday, June 27, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sonesta Hotel in White Plains, offering resources and guidance for first-time homebuyers and homeowners facing housing challenges.

Held during National Homeownership Month, the free event is designed to connect consumers with housing professionals, lenders, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations that can help make homeownership more attainable.

“This expo is a must for anyone looking to break into the housing market,” said Ron Abad, CEO of Community Housing Innovations. “Owning a home is one of the most important steps to building generational wealth. This is our second year bringing together experts from across the board with valuable, practical advice to help buyers looking to enter the market.”

The event will feature educational workshops and exhibitor booths staffed by housing professionals and organizations from across the region. Scheduled sessions include:

  • 12 p.m. – 1 p.m.: CEO Opening and Grant Presentation

  • 1 p.m. – 2 p.m.: Lender Presentations

  • 2 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.: Fair Housing & Know Your Rights Presentation

More than 20 organizations and lenders are expected to participate, including Community Housing Innovations, New York State Homes and Community Renewal, Housing Action Council, Chase, KeyBank, loanDepot, M&T Bank, Ridgewood Savings Bank, Bank of America, and the Westchester County Human Rights Commission.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with housing experts, learn about down payment assistance programs, explore financing options, and participate in raffles and giveaways throughout the day.
