Applications Open for NYC Minority- and Women-Owned Business Accelerator

Greater Jamaica Development Corporation is accepting applications for its MWBE Accelerator, a citywide program designed to help established minority- and women-owned businesses strengthen operations, pursue contracting opportunities and position themselves for growth.

The program, fully funded by the New York City Council, is open to eligible Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises across New York City.

Participants will receive customized technical assistance based on their individual business needs, including support with access to capital and no-cost consultations with attorneys, accountants and other financial professionals. Specialized learning modules will also address areas important to business growth.

A key component of the accelerator is procurement training. Participants will have opportunities to engage virtually with purchasing executives from corporations and government agencies, gaining insight into vendor requirements and the process of competing for contracts.

The program is designed to help participating businesses improve their ability to bid on contracts, increase revenue and establish practices that support long-term growth.
