Westchester County is home to the largest biosciences cluster in New York State, boasting 8,000 jobs and 20 percent of the State’s total biosciences employment. With an annual accelerator program, a state-of-the-art incubator with wet labs and dry labs, and many growing biotech and digital health companies, this is a dynamic sector of the economy that works closely with the vibrant local and regional healthcare sector. An Industry Desk is available to meet the needs of relocating companies.

Advanced Manufacturing

Westchester’s advanced manufacturing industry is diverse, boasting companies who are manufacturing everything from plastic fluid handling products to self-lubricating machinery components to desktop milling machines used to make printed circuit boards and aluminum parts. Among the assets drawing manufacturers here are the availability of appropriately-zoned real estate, access to qualified talent and a new talent training program, as well as a robust transportation infrastructure. We offer a suite of programs, including: Launch1000, a large-scale entrepreneurship training and incubation program now available in both English and Spanish; Element 46, a technology accelerator; and, the Westchester County Biosciences Accelerator. There are also many other excellent programs throughout the County. We have developed a deep mentor network and are  proud to have supported the launch of hundreds of ventures.
