An Invitation to Serve on the HGAR Board of Directors
Volunteer leadership opportunities are now open for the 2027 HGAR Board of Directors. Help shape the future of our Association as we continue building a thriving REALTOR® association that propels our industry forward.

All applications will be submitted to the Nominating Committee for review. Select candidates will be invited to interview. If you possess the necessary experience, passion for HGAR’s mission, and a willingness to commit your time to serve, we strongly encourage you to apply by 5 pm on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
Our Board of Directors (BOD) is the vanguard of our leadership and plays a vital role in shaping the direction of our trade association. Directors serve two terms, regional directors serve one term and officers serve one term.
We invite all HGAR REALTOR® members to apply for the open 2027 leadership positions

- President-Elect*
- Treasurer*
- Secretary*
- Regional Director**
*Officer positions are reserved for candidates with previous Director experience, requiring a strong understanding of HGAR’s purpose and strategic objectives.
** There are (6) Regional Directors, one from each of the counties we represent. [Bronx, Manhattan, Putnam, Orange, Rockland and Westchester]
BOD Responsibilities Include
- Participation in the Annual Leadership Planning Conference - October 2026
- Attendance at mandatory Board Meetings in 2027
- Attendance at the Installation.
- Support and attend Association special events and activities
- Respond to every Call-To-Action and Text-To-Action from HGAR, State and National
- Consider support of RPAC at Major Investor level and above
- Strongly recommended service on committees or work groups
Serving more than 11,000 members, HGAR is the voice of the real estate industry in the Hudson Valley and NYC, advocating for property rights, fair housing, and policies that promote Realtor values. HGAR relies on talented, knowledgeable, and passionate individuals who are willing to volunteer their time to lead HGAR into the future.
