Ron Garafalo is the 2026 NYSAR President and an associate broker and sales manager at John J. Lease REALTORS® in Middletown, N.Y. A REALTOR® since 2000, he served as president of the Orange County Association of REALTORS® (2011) and HGAR (2019), and was named HGAR REALTOR® of the Year in 2021.

Locally, Ron has served on and chaired numerous committees, including RPAC, Fair Housing, and Education. He is a real estate instructor who has taught thousands of agents over the years and is especially passionate about teaching the Code of Ethics.

On a state level, Ron has served as a NYSAR Director for over a decade and is a 2022 graduate of NYSAR’s Leadership Academy. A staunch supporter of REALTOR® advocacy, he regularly participates in Lobby Day in Albany.

Ron also serves as a director for the National Association of REALTORS® and sits on NAR’s Fair Housing Committee.
