Bridget Gibbons

Director of Economic Development

Bridget Gibbons is the Director of Economic Development for Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins, overseeing the Office of Economic Development, and serving as Executive Director of the Industrial Development Agency and Local Development Corporation since October 2018.

She leads a sector-focused economic development strategy focused on life sciences, advanced manufacturing, technology, and clean energy, and has launched startup accelerators such as the Biosciences Accelerator, Element 46, and Launch1000.

Appointed in June 2024 to the executive committee of the New York State Economic Development Council, Bridget now amplifies Westchester’s business community at the state level. She also serves as Chair of the Board for the Hudson Valley Regional Council, a regional planning and intergovernmental organization that represents the seven Mid-Hudson counties.

Previously a digital marketing entrepreneur and HR tech consultant, Bridget holds a B.A. in International Studies and certificates from Columbia and NYU. A Bronxville resident, she is passionate about fostering job growth and innovation regionally.
