For exceptional service to its members navigating the global market in 2022, the Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS® (HGAR) Global Business Council was recently awarded the Platinum Global Achievement Program Award by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR). This places HGAR’s Global Business Council in the top 8% of Global Councils nationwide.

HGAR's Global Business Council has shown the highest level of service to its members by consistently providing them with the tools they need to excel in international real estate, as well as connecting their members to the global opportunities in the local market. The services and resources they have worked hard to provide their members are the benchmarks upon which the standards have been set.

“It’s an honor to receive this national recognition for our efforts in creating an international bridge for our members to global real estate opportunities,” said Richard Haggerty, CEO of HGAR and president and chief strategic growth officer of OneKey® MLS, the regional multiple listing service for New York. “A true partnership initiative, our Global Business Council works with area economic development agencies and other public and private sector entities to assist in expansion of investment into our markets. We believe ‘Global is local and local is global.’”

HGAR’s Global Business Council hosts monthly educational and networking opportunities, from trade missions to global chats and beyond. In June 2022, a HGAR delegation traveled to Portugal for a Trade Mission hosted by their National Association of REALTORS® Ambassador partner, Portugal International Realty (PIR). In October 2022, HGAR joined regional REALTOR® associations to discuss emerging trends and share best practices for leveraging opportunities in the global marketplace at the 16th annual Global Real Estate Summit NYC. Haggerty moderated a panel discussion on attracting global investments in the New York tristate region.

NAR’s annual Global Achievement award program, now in its seventh year, recognizes and rewards the most active associations in global business. Applicants are reviewed by a team of 12 NAR staff and evaluated in five focus areas: Business Plan, Marketing & Communication, Events/Education, Outreach, and Benchmarking.
