Join us as CID hosts Peter Duncan, President and CEO of George Comfort & Sons, Inc.  Get an update on the latest new developments in our area, including a mixed-use development on a portion of the former Good Counsel campus on North Broadway that adjoins the Pace University campus in White Plains.

The firm also owns The Centre at Purchase and 900 King St in Rye Brook. In July, George Comfort & Sons Inc. acquired the Reckson Executive Park (1110 King St.) in Rye Brook for $55 million.  The company operates not only in the Hudson Valley but also in the greater area including NYC and Stamford, CT, where it’s considering replacing a long-vacant office building at its High Ridge Park complex to accommodate a Life Time fitness facility.

Mr. Duncan has over 30 years experience in commercial real estate acquisition, financing, repositioning, management and leasing, all at GCS. He is the controlling partner of the company. Since taking over leadership of GCS in the early 1990’s, he acquired and redeveloped most of the company’s owned properties, totaling over $5 billion in value. He is integrally involved in the leasing and renovation of all the company’s assets. He received a B.A. from Trinity College. Mr. Duncan is a licensed commercial broker in the State of New York and New Jersey and is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) and board member of both, The Realty Foundation of New York and Phipps Houses
